ABOUT US

LOUISE HARVEY

I live in Teesside with my husband Richard and our 2 children and was truly heartbroken to hear the story of Baby Peter’s death, how he had suffered so horrendously at the very hands of those who were supposed to protect him.  I wanted to do something to help prevent this from ever happening again and I felt the best way to do that was to support a Children’s charity.  Upon reading that the NSPCC has statutory powers to help safeguard children and has successfully campaigned for a change in the law, introducing ‘allowing or causing the death of a child’, I decided on the NSPCC.  Without this charge those found guilty in Baby Peter’s death may have faced a far lesser charge and sentence than they do today.  I went on the website to set up a monthly donation.

Once I had done this, I came across the tribute section and thought how wonderful it would be to have something like this for Baby Peter; to honour his life and help protect other vulnerable children in his name. I contacted the NSPCC about setting up THE BABY P TRIBUTE FUND on the 20th November 2008.  The fund was officially opened on the 2nd December 2008. As a Mother I cannot comprehend how anyone could hurt or allow anyone else to hurt their child.  I love my children unconditionally and I would give my all to protect them.  This is what every child deserves and I believe the NSPCC can help achieve this.

CORINNE BAILEY

I live in Bewdley in Worcester with my partner Mark and have 4 children,  I work as an IT consultant in various roles including Project and Programme Management.  Up until having my children I also taught music in my spare time - clarinet, piano and saxophone. My interests are horses, and I have ridden for as long as I can remember, and West Bromwich Albion football club (which I blame my dad for as he used to take me from about the age of about two - although he supports Derby?).  I also (enjoy?) running and swimming. I have raised funds for the NSPCC for a number of years and ran the London marathon for them in 2000 and raised over £3,000, and again in 2009, raising over £2,000 (so far!).

JULIA RICHARDS

I live in Haringey and I'm an Educational Psychologist, working both for a large county authority, and privately.  My job involves working with children, schools and families to help identify and meet the needs of children with special educational needs.  I have particular interests in speech and language, dyslexia and early years. My practice is here VB Associates

I sing with the Angels of Kaos, 'North London's most fabulous casual singers', which is also part of the Kaos Organisation, a charity promoting deaf awareness through a fully integrated deaf and hearing children's choir. In any spare time I have after that, I ride my very elderly horse, tend my very overrun garden or head for the seaside.

RAE LOVEJOY

I live in Hove, with my partner and 4 bonkers cats. I work in digital marketing, and my job involves social media, search engine optimisation, marketing and web design. I have worked in media for many years and as such have a keen interest in current affairs, social work, politics and cannot go on holiday to anywhere that I cannot access at least BBC News 24! If you need any social media advice let me know!

I have been in an ABBA tribute band, have sung with Sting and travelled a fair bit.
